From candy corn martinis to witch’s brew to a vampire bite, these spooky drinks just scream “boo!” I’m not going to say that Halloween is my favorite holiday, but I will say that I look forward to it all year long, and I start missing it the moment it’s over. To me, Halloween is pure, unadulterated fun. It brings me joy; it’s as simple as that. Every year when October 1st rolls around, it’s like I revert to being a kid again. I decorate, cook, host parties, and do exciting, fun things the entire month of October. With all that entertaining, I really had to up my game when it came to my Halloween desserts, snacks, and drinks. Over the years, I’ve created and discovered plenty of great, Halloween cocktails and mocktails, but these are 25 of the best. I hope you love them as much as I do.

20+ Haunting Halloween Cocktail Recipes for Your Next Party

1. Candy Corn Martini

Is there any candy more Halloween-esque than candy corn? If so, I can’t think of it. This adorable drink is the candy corn every adult dreams of getting in their trick-or-treat bag. It’s a layer of grenadine topped with a layer of vodka and pineapple juice and some fluffy, tasty whipped cream on top.  It looks just like candy corn in a glass, tastes terrific, and will have you doing the Monster Mash in no time.

2. Bloody Mary

Some drinks don’t need cutesy names and special tricks to make them Halloween-friendly. The Bloody Mary is one of those.  It’s the same spicy drink you know and love, and thanks to its thick, blood-red look, it fits in perfectly with any Halloween-themed party or dinner.

3. Witch’s Brew

This purple, sugar-encrusted drink looks precisely like something a witch would brew up in her cauldron. It’s both lovely and spooky at the same time.  Best of all, you can whip up four of them in 5 minutes or less. All you’ll need is some vodka, lime juice from a fresh lime, raspberry liqueur, sugar, and a bit of purple food coloring.  Place a few of these on the table amidst your Halloween treats and be prepared to have people oohing and ahhing over them all night long.

4. Another Glorious Morning Hocus Pocus Halloween Drink

This pretty purple drink is even easier to make than the last one! And I love its name!!  There’s no better Halloween movie than Hocus Pocus. And the best line of the best Halloween movie ever is easily, “Oh look! Another glorious morning… Makes me sick!” With only three ingredients – ice, Sparkling Ice Black Raspberry, and vodka – 3 minutes, and 67 calories per serving, this drink is awesome.

5. Screamsicle Shake

This deliciously decadent Screamsicle Shake is one of the prettiest drinks on the list. It’s also one of the most sugary and yummy.  It’s full of alcohol, all right, but the sugar rush might hit you before the booze with this one.  With milk, vanilla vodka, orange sherbert, chocolate sauce, Oreos, whipped cream, and sprinkles, this chocolate and faux-creamsicle masterpiece is one everyone will love. FYI: If there will be kids around, you’ll want to make several mocktails of this one, too. There’s no way they’ll let you drink something that looks this good without wanting one themselves.

6. Jack-O’-Lantern Cocktail

This drink is so easy to make, and if you enjoy orange-flavored beverages, you’ll love it. For me, it’s all about that enchanting little orange pumpkin at the top. It’s the perfect Halloween garnish!

7. Poisoned Apple Cider Cocktail

This drink is gorgeous. Period.  Give it a new name if you need to – call it the “Baby It’s Cold Out-Cider” or the “Gold-Plated Gobbler.”  Call it whatever you need to call it so that you can serve it at every holiday party you throw. That’s how beautiful this drink is; people need to see it. It takes 5 minutes to make and uses five ingredients. You won’t find a prettier drink anywhere on the table. Don’t worry, it tastes great, too!

8. Sea Monster Cocktail

If you like your drinks a little on the bitter side, you’ll love this one. With spiced rum, grenadine, ginger beer, and grapefruit juice, this one will make your nose wrinkle – in a good way. It’s tart and sharp, and you won’t soon forget you’ve drunk it. The spiced rum hits a little harder than some of the drinks on this list, as well. So if you’re looking for a strong drink, this is it.

9. Black Widow Cocktail

This blackberry-heavy drink is an excellent addition to any black-themed Halloween party. It looks so dark and wicked, but if you love blackberries, the taste is pure heaven.  The tiny black spider rings on the side are entirely optional, but they do make a nice touch, so I’d add them if I were you.

10. Vampire Bite

With some drinks, you drink to get drunk. With others, you drink for the taste. With these drinks, it’s all about presentation.  The blood-red color inside the beakers, with the vampire fangs in the glass and spiders on the straw, makes for the ideal Halloween party drink. It’s certainly one everyone will remember.  Luckily, they actually taste wonderful, too. Of course, you’ll make them with lemonade, cherry vodka, and black cherry soda, so they can’t help but taste good.

11. Halloween Blood Orange Martini

The red color of this sweet and tangy drink is well-suited to Halloween, and between the lemon vodka, orange juice, and triple sec, it’s tart and tasty, as well.

12. Freaky Frankenstein Cocktail

Honestly, I think this drink would work for Halloween if you stopped after mixing the melon and apple liqueurs. That bright green color is very mad scientist-like. But it does look a little more like Frankenstein once you add the black sugar rim and the dark swirl of purple in with the green. Either way, it’s sweet, tart, and full of apple flavor.

13. Halloween Sangria

Sangria is always a great party drink because it’s tasty, fruity, and easy to make.  This one is a deep, bloody red and has eyeballs (frozen grapes) floating in it, and nothing screams Halloween like floating eyeballs! Plus, it’s sweet and festive, and those frozen grapes won’t water down your drink.

14. Haunted Orchard Cocktail

These aren’t as exciting to look at as some of the others, but they taste phenomenal and are super strong, thanks to the hard cider and tequila mixture.  Full of ginger, cinnamon, maple syrup, and apple cider, this drink smells almost as good as it tastes. Just one whiff of it is enough to make you think of fall.

15. Ghoul’s Blood Cocktail

I feel like calling this one “ghoul’s blood” just because it’s blue is a bit of a stretch, but I love the vibrant blue color, so I go with it, anyway. Plus, the combination of blue curacao, white rum, and pineapple juice gives this one a tropical flavor that I can’t resist. If you want a taste of summer in the fall, this drink will give it to you.

16. Skeleton Key

This is another one for which I don’t really understand the name’s relevance to the drink, but I love the way it tastes, so I make it anyway. If someone asks me, “Why’s it called a skeleton key?” I just look at them with a raised eyebrow and say, “Really? Why do you think?” It works every time. (Feel free to use that response, by the way!) This one comes with eight – yes, eight – dashes of bitters. It’s definitely a cocktail you’ll want to sip, not gulp. It’s a hair-raising, spine-tingling flavor, but for some reason, I love it.  Most of my party-goers through the years have loved it, too.

17. Love Potion #9

The great thing about this drink is that it works for both Halloween and Valentine’s Day. It’s smooth, creamy, and beautifully pink.  The taste is sweet and wonderful, as well. It tastes more like a really sweet milkshake than a cocktail, and hey, any milkshake that’ll make you tipsy is my kind of milkshake. If you want to go all out, add some chocolate around the rim of your glasses. Mmm!

18. Almond Joy Cocktail

I like to stick to a theme, so I call this one “ghost in a glass.” Whatever you call it, though, it’s incredibly yummy. It’s thick, creamy, and has coconut flavor, with just a hint of chocolate underneath. It doesn’t taste exactly like an Almond Joy, but for an alcoholic drink, it’s pretty darned close.

19. Blood Sucker Cocktail

If you add the puree correctly, this drink looks spectacular. It genuinely looks like drops of blood inside the glass, which would be super gross any other time of the year, but it’s ideal for Halloween! I use raspberry puree instead of strawberry because it seems to go better with the pineapple juice.

20. Hocus Pocus Jell-O Shots

I just get so excited every time I see these. They’re just Jell-O shots, but they’re Jell-O shots with witch hats on top! How can anyone not love that? Aside from your vodka and Jell-O, all you’ll need is Cool Whip, Oreos, Hershey’s Kisses, and some colored sugar. These are super simple to make, and everyone loves them.

21. Toasted S’mores Martini

I don’t know who came up with these s’mores martinis, but they deserve a medal. Whenever I can introduce live fire into a dish, I feel like one of those famous TV chefs.  It makes me feel suave and a little dangerous. I love it, and everyone else seems impressed by it, too. (Or maybe I just have good friends who like me enough not to laugh at me to my face.) Either way, these are delicious, and they look amazing. They’re one of the best fall drinks I’ve ever had.

22. Half-Blood Prince Cocktail

This one looks a little less impressive without the smoke and candles in the background, but it’s still beautiful, and it tastes incredible. The raspberry liqueur and pomegranate juice complement each other flawlessly, and the pure maple syrup helps smooth out the bourbon.  The lemon juice adds a kick, and the pomegranate arils both look and taste great. It’s a good, solid drink.

23. Frankenpunch

If you’re a fan of zesty drinks that are borderline sour, you’ll love Frankenpunch. It has pineapple juice, ginger ale, tequila, and lime sorbet. You wouldn’t think the sorbet would taste so strong beneath the other ingredients, but it does. This is one tart drink that will truly tickle your tastebuds.

24. Bloody Champagne Bellini

This drink starts out a deep, dark red at the bottom and gradually lightens to a more translucent, bubbly shade towards the top.  It’s not the most Halloween-like drink on the list, but it’s vaguely blood-like, and I love the bold cherry taste, so it’ll always make my list.

25. Deathly Hallows Cocktail

If you’re looking for a sweet, smooth drink that goes down easy and hits you like a truck, you need to try the deathly hallows cocktail. With two ounces of silver tequila, pomegranate (cranberry also works, but I prefer pomegranate) and lemon juices, orange liqueur, ginger beer, and maple syrup, this drink has a robust, complex flavor that I love. Plus, that sprig of fresh thyme makes it look so neat.  Click on a star to rate it!
